Wängle
Calm village of 800 inhabitants is set at the foot of the Hahnenkamm and also includes the hamlets of Holz, where is Hotel Fürstenhof situated, Winkl, Niederwängle and Hinterbichl.Wängle is typical Tyrolean mountain village very close to ski slopes and Alpine peaks.
Summer in Wängle
Wängle is surrounded by walking trails and some start in the village centre. The Nordic Walking Fitness Park runs over the meadows of Wängle and village also offers tennis courts and a football ground for use of the guests.
Winter in Wängle
The Ferienregion Reutte cross-country network also includes the area of Wängle, with many local trails of varying difficulty. The luge run is free for all guests and the ski area of the Hahnenkamm is close by. The curling rink is also open in the evenings.

Reutte
Reutte is the administrative centre of the Ausserfern area of Austria. Reutte is positioned at a strategic point at the junction of the Lech, the Ehrenberger Klause gorge and the access to the Allgäu area over the border in Germany and has been of major importance through the history of settlement in the Ausserfern area. Today you can find here many tourist attractions and convenient service for all visitors. From small family run restaurants with Tyrolean cuisine or modern fast food franchises as McDonalds. In city centre you can buy everything from sport clothes to Tyrolean salami and aromatic local schnapps.

Plansee
Lake Plansee
Only 10 km from Hotel Fürstenhof lays Lake Plansee. Tirol’s second largest lake and also one of its cleanest, with grade A quality water. It offers a bathing area, camping grounds, and boat rental. The average water temperature lies around 21°C. In winter you can ice-skate here.

You may see this monument from your room, only 7 km from Hotel Fürstenhof. The „Fortress World Ehrenberg“ Reutte/Tirol has become a visitor’s attraction and a tourist infrastructure deeply integrated into the district. You can find here famous knights tournament and lot of interesting activities for you and your children.

Since 1971 the ensemble Ehrenberger gorge, the remains of castle Ehrenberg, Fortress upon Schlosskopf and fort Claudia have been renovated and saved from further decay to provide a cultural experience and education. Much of the works have been initiated by local, private initiatives and funding as well by local companies to put this 700 year old treasure back to new life.

Town of Füssen
This Bavarian town is located only 14 km from Hotel Fürstenhof. The historically valuable old town, the Benedictine Monastery (built in the Baroque style by Johann Jakob Herkommer), secularized in 1802 (since 1909 it has served as the Town Hall) are definitely worth seeing.
Bavarian Castles
The Hohenschwangau Castle and The Linderhof castle are two beautiful Castles which can be visited a short trip from the most famous Bavarian Castle Neuschwanstein. In summer season open from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm or during winter from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. Do not hesitate to ask for details at the Fürstenhof reception desk.
